WHITEBOARD – 12 March 2015

Workload:

5 sets of Barbell Complex:
Push Press (3) + Clean Grip Overhead Squat (1)

*Build to a static weight across all 5 sets that challenges positions but you don’t fail. If you do not have the mobility for a Clean Grip Overhead squat, work snatch grip back rack push press + overhead squat. If you don’t have this, work push press 3×5 and do weighted shoulder dislocates (10×5) and work to narrow the grip.

Then:

5 Rounds of:
5 One Arm DB Clean (1) to Push Press (1) (Left)
10 Push-ups
5 One Arm DB Clean (1) to Push Press (1) (Right)
10 Pistols

*One DB = 30% max barbell push press

Notes: Please see comments for barbell complex. Make sure whatever movement you pick, you do well.

  • John Donne – Meditation 17

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were. Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee...
