WHITEBOARD – 08 April 2014

Workload:

A1. Halting Snatch Deadlift (2) + Hang Snatch (Mid-Thigh) – Build to crisp 1 set max

*Deload to 85% – 3 additional sets

*Compare to March 25th

Then:

B1. 5 Rounds of:
10 Death Marches (Dumbbells = 1/5 – 10 TOTAL)
5 Chin-ups (Weighted – 15-20% 1 rep max)
*Rest 90-120s between rounds.

Then:

C1. 5 Minute AMRAP
9 Thrusters (95/65lbs)
9 Chest-to-bar Pull-ups

Notes: Halting Snatch Deadlift is performed like a perfect snatch pull, but you stop right before hip extension (Chest is still forward of the bar, balance slightly rearward on the feet).  This is to ingrain the proper 1st pull and to make you patient.  Make sure the hand position is Mid-thigh on every rep.

Post questions if you don’t know Death Marches.

  1. Snatch: 205, 220, 230, 240, 250(f), 225(f), 225(f), 225 – sloppy

    B done.

C done -3 Rounds + 9 thrusters. This shows how much my conditioning has dropped off. Should be 5 complete without killing myself.

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were. Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee...
