Goals…How they coming?
Well, we developed the goal board a little bit ago and it looks like a couple of people have been able to cross off some of their goals. We are getting great progress from some of our athletes and it is awesome to hear about the constant gains from everyone.
So, how are my goals coming along? The 225 snatch is right under my nose, I can smell it… We are finishing up our power program and will be testing shortly. I am very ampted to see where I stand. I hit a huge PR in the hang clean (290) and have been able to keep consistent form in the olympic lifts.
After this portion of the programming we will be switching to a conditioning/muscle endurance segment. This will be great for athletes looking to drop some lbs and increase their conditioning. I on the other hand will be going on an additional strength/power cycle. I will be focusing on getting my lifts up across the board and maybe adding a couple lbs of lean muscle to help me out. Hopefully this will push my lifts into where I want them (225-235 snatch, 300 clean & jerk, 350 front squat, 415 back squat, 500 deadlift).
So, here is to some smart training and getting some more goals crossed off the board!
