I did not finish the lift agressively enough on the 95 snatch miss. I didn’t commit to it. Also, during that lift and other times there was a 2 platform situation with multiple sessions going on at the same time, and they were presenting awards on the other platform during that lift which was odd and annoying. I finished better and pulled under for the 3rd attempt and was fully committed.

I made a really good swing at the 137 miss, pulled it high enough, got my elbows around, but it was fractionally in front my base and it crumbled me out from under it.

    • Sorry about the set up issues, that could definitely be distracting. Still two competition PRs, beast.

I can’t blame it on the organizers. The venue was great. There are a lot more lifters competing because of crossfit, myself included, and they were trying to stay on schedule. My golf background makes me more weird about distractions in the middle of my swing. I didn’t have Earl Woods screaming at me in the middle of a putt. I just need to toughen up.

3 if you count the total.

The silver medal winner made an extremely controversial C+J that probably should have been red lighted, which would have pushed me into a bronze.

  • John Donne – Meditation 17

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were. Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee...
