WHITEBOARD – 28 June 2011
WORKLOAD:
Max Box Jump
Notes: Both feet must land on the top of the surface and you have to be able to control the landing to a full stand (Hips and knees open).
Remember, tonight is the first Olympic Lifting Club session. It is ten dollars to help support the club (hopefully we will be getting those platforms soon!), and we should be able to get a good amount of work. I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone as having a coach’s eye on your lifts is very important. Also, we don’t get a lot of chances to lift amongst one another, so take advantage of the group setting as a great motivator.
Take a look at the link on the main board for a good article illustrator why we incorporate olympic lifts for general fitness. No other movement can stimulate such great results!
Skip to 7:20 for evidence of some serious athleticism due to Olympic Lifting:

How many jumps do you recommend?
If your doing the Olympic lifting tonight don’t go crazy. About 20-25 jumps with Max 5 failures would be about right
…wish i woulda seen that haha.
Max height for today: 46 1/2
3 1/4 inches under my PR, but I’ll take it after what my body has been through in the past 4 days.
Protein-ing back up for Oly Club tonight.
44″ (2″ pr)
you forgot about the 400m you shuffled in between jumps….
…400 forward, 400 back…
