Notes: This is ending our current cycle.  Let me know if you liked how this cycle had less movements and a little more repition on the lifts to get your acquinted with them.

Next week will be a testing week/deloading week and then we follow it up with a new cycle.

Tell me which dates works better for the first olympic lifting session – Tuesday 6/28 or 7/5/2011 from 6-8.

6/28 for me. The other date is a no-go.

I believe this was my first one. What I liked about it was the mix of bodyweight movements (dips, pull-ups, etc) along with the strength training & olympic style lifts which were totally new to me.

Well, that and I have lost almost 30 pounds and went from zero to ten pull ups.

I’d say you did a great job, and I would recommend both the gym and this program without reservation.

  5. Somebody left beef jerky in the room. That’s like leaving a bottle of Jack at a AA meeting, like leaving a case of beer in LT’s or Brennan’s car, like…

  6. Brennan's avatar Brennan says:

Operating with only completing 4 Bear Crawls yesterday, haha suckers!

    135# and ctb

5:43 ( but maybe a read it wrong again)

Dan, did you mention someone left a case of beer somewhere? That’s mine, I swear. Give it back damnit!

    5 painful thrusters – check.

  8. brian's avatar brian says:

    previous 115# 7:18

    today 135# 7:48

    i prefer july 8th

  9. Dedik's avatar Dedik says:

I took today off because my body is completely thrashed and my wife got me sick.

In my opinion, I’d rather see the constantly varied approach with maybe one milestone wod thrown in (something like today) as opposed to the repetition we saw in this past cycle. I like that we see the same movements, but on the other hand, if someone aggravates a muscle, joint, etc. repeating a movement, or similar movment, may lead to a more long term injury.

    17:11, 105#, normal pull-ups
Thanks, Paul! You deserve the credit for me completing this workout.

Hey, you did all the work. All I did was yell at you while slumped in a ball in the corner of the room haha

  11. kemm's avatar kemm says:

    135#

    6:29

  12. Brennan's avatar Brennan says:

Either date should work. As far as the cycle, I like being able to get comfortable with some movements. I like when the work is constantly changing but I don’t like to do an exercise and then not do it again for 2-3 months…unless it’s the sled. We need more cowbell and pullups

A+ on this part of the programming. This helped me a lot and I think I really needed it because I suck at most of them. I felt like I had more opportunity to work on the movements and it seemed the progression from one to the other was spaced well and in a good transition. I did not have many injuries this cycle, but I can see Paul’s point on how it can impact things.

I really appreciate the time you put into the programming. It met so many of my goals and PRs this cycle. Can’t thank you enough.

  15. either way it doesn’t matter to me, I will continue to be a beast even if you program a zumba and shaker-weight cycle.

    …I miss LT.

down to bw 193…kemm, I may need my t-shirts back.

  16. Dara's avatar Dara says:

The programming needs more swim WODs and K-Star.

6:02 – added 11 seconds to my May 9th time, not happy about it.

    Well done Mr. Kramli

  • John Donne – Meditation 17

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were. Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee...
