Next week will be a testing week/deloading week and then we follow it up with a new cycle.
Tell me which dates works better for the first olympic lifting session – Tuesday 6/28 or 7/5/2011 from 6-8.

6/28 for me. The other date is a no-go.
I believe this was my first one. What I liked about it was the mix of bodyweight movements (dips, pull-ups, etc) along with the strength training & olympic style lifts which were totally new to me.
Well, that and I have lost almost 30 pounds and went from zero to ten pull ups.
I’d say you did a great job, and I would recommend both the gym and this program without reservation.

I took today off because my body is completely thrashed and my wife got me sick.
In my opinion, I’d rather see the constantly varied approach with maybe one milestone wod thrown in (something like today) as opposed to the repetition we saw in this past cycle. I like that we see the same movements, but on the other hand, if someone aggravates a muscle, joint, etc. repeating a movement, or similar movment, may lead to a more long term injury.

Either date should work. As far as the cycle, I like being able to get comfortable with some movements. I like when the work is constantly changing but I don’t like to do an exercise and then not do it again for 2-3 months…unless it’s the sled. We need more cowbell and pullups

A+ on this part of the programming. This helped me a lot and I think I really needed it because I suck at most of them. I felt like I had more opportunity to work on the movements and it seemed the progression from one to the other was spaced well and in a good transition. I did not have many injuries this cycle, but I can see Paul’s point on how it can impact things.
I really appreciate the time you put into the programming. It met so many of my goals and PRs this cycle. Can’t thank you enough.

either way it doesn’t matter to me, I will continue to be a beast even if you program a zumba and shaker-weight cycle.
