Weekend in review

Started up the training last week- the weather was a refreshing kick in my ass, as it made it irresistable to get outside and do a workout. Feeling pretty good, definitely learned that parallette handstand push-ups are MUCH harder than regular.

It will be a skill that I work on consistently while leading up to the regionals.

Over the weekend I got to relax a little with the family on Saturday, and soak up the day. Sunday was productive, and finally, after threatening everyone with them, the sandbags are done!

300 pounds of Pea Gravel to start us off…

May look like landscaping materials...

Finished product was ten 10lb bags, five 20 lbs, and one 40lb bag. Didn’t bag one bag of pea gravel, because I wanted to hold off to see if 5lb bags would be necessary.

but no, they are so much more

I tested the bags out with some of the young athletes at New Hope Fitness Sunday night, and lets just say I don’t think they want to see them again anytime soon. Excited to get out there and work with them myself.

Finished up the night eating some great beef stew that was cooking all throughout the day Sunday (No, it is not dog food even though it may look like it). 3lbs of beef and some veggies = delicious.

Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee...
