Thank You!

Changes, changes, changes… The end of the year is upon us and as many of you know Dan and I have asked you to contribute to the training in 2011.  I want to take this space to say a simple Thank You. Many of you have trained with me, beside me, or in one way or another followed our programming.

You have all committed a little bit of your day (or a lot – lunch crowd I am looking at you!), to better yourself. With that commitment is a trust that what you are doing is actually bettering yourself (No one wants to piss away an hour of exhaustion for nothing). Since you trust the programming, you then in turn trust me (at least as a Strength Coach) as the creator of these workouts.

The trust that you all have graced me with leaves me incredibly grateful, appreciative, and chronically frightened to disappoint you all (in a good way). Dan and I provide a program that has grown organically from two gentlemen (I use that term loosely), who simply bonded over our own misery and small triumphs to a budding community. We didn’t have the intention to make change in others when we started. We simply wanted to better ourselves and enjoy the time doing it. This common bond attracted others, and so on and so on.

As the program grew so did my thirst for knowledge and the ability to change someone for the better. This thirst continues to be my driving force behind the services I provide you. This deep pride and ownership of any of the coaching, programming, or advice that I provide to the community does not allow me to sell you a bag of shit. I can not allow myself to tell you something will better you when I don’t believe it. I can not allow myself to tell you this community will grow into its potential unless I believe it. I believe that the only way for us to have a vibrant and ultimately brilliant community is for us to all buy in.

Everyone involved needs to believe they are part ownership of the product that is out there. They need to believe their voice is heard, and they need to believe their goals are being met by committing to themselves and others.  Your monthly commitment is not a monetary fee or a price to train, it is a donation. It is a donation to our community. A donation that will allow us to grow, which will in turn better you, better your friends, and better the next person that steps in the door.

With that all said, changes will be coming this year. A new level of commitment from me, you and all involved will be coming. I love the opportunity to be part of this and thank you all.

I leave you with the tag line to our training website:

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend’s or of thine own were. Any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee…
