Coconut Ice Cream Part Deux

Well thanks to Dara I have given the Coconut Ice Cream another go. I used a legit Ice Cream maker this time around and not a blender masquerading as something it sadly can never be.

I went with a Mocha Java by adding a little bit of dark chocolate into the mix (which was a good option). I tempered the eggs and I used the Ice Cream maker.

So what were the results when I incorporated my new found methods? Pretty much the same as last time.

All of the changes made for a better tasting product, however, the problem was when I put it in the freezer. It ended up being another coconut brick. If I did this again (IF being the key word) I would freeze the Ice Cream into individual containers so I could take them out and let them soften up a bit before eating.

Two failed attempts = me making smoothies from now on.

Why couldn't mine turn out this way?
