Robb Wolf Crossfit Hoboken!
Well, couldn’t make it to the Black Box Summit, but going to the Paleolithic Solution Seminar!
So psyched to be able to see Robb Wolf present and especially now that he has no restrictions on content.
As I try to further my education, my sources are mostly trainers that have first hand experience as trainers and as an athletes. Coaches such as Robb Wolf, Dan John, Eric Cressey, Rippetoe, Tate, etc. always seem to hold more respect from the community, because they practice what they preach. If you advocate a diet plan you can’t do yourself then how can a client believe it is a plausible option for them? Same goes for sports training, if you can’t perform a snatch properly then why the hell are you instructing someone else to do it?
My point is this, we always have great respect for those people who do as they say (as long as what they do deserves respect). I want to have a clear identity as a trainer and an athlete. I don’t want those two identities to be contradictions of one another. Sure, some coaches can be great without participating in what they teach. But, if I am going to a coach that doesn’t have first hand experience I better see that he has made some great progress with others.
On that note I am off to listen to a man who has increased the performance of many and has done the same in himself.
Or maybe I could just invest my time and money in some marketing and spew complete nonsense from my mouth to up my credibility as a trainer… It seems to work for some.
