beginning, middle, or end?

Hey Everyone,

Finally got the good old blog up and running.  What’s the point, besides to provide for more distractions to interrupt your daily life?  No really sure, but maybe its better when we don’t have a set plan for the journey ahead.

I am currently training to become a better all around athlete.  Just came off a linear strength training cycle (big ups to Wendler’s 5-3-1), and am about to go on an Olympic training cycle.  Training for the Crossfit Qualifiers and am also studying for the CSCS exam.  I currently train multiple athletes at New Hope Fitness as well as provide programing for many at the gym.

I will use this blog as a tool to hold myself accountable to do a little introspection while trying to better myself as an athlete and trainer.

On that note, stuck on a business trip (day job) for the week and got a little snatch work in today.  It is a deloading week so just trying to get the blood flowing.  Body feels good after some rest, I could actually touch the floor without warming up…

Maybe it was the quart of PURE HAPPINESS…

Best thing since bacon...

Oh yeah, first one to comment! Dana, the site looks great. Nothing like a good business trip to make you appreciate NHF even more. I am enjoying the light work this week too much.

  2. Hey Butters,

Thanks for the comment. Yea, I searched for a gym that would be friendly to olympic lifting but nothing around here. All global chains that would just have people looking at me funny.

How’ your training coming along? I didn’t take a look at your numbers, you making progress?

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were. Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee...
