Just wanted to say thanx for all your posts…with out you guys and with outlt my buddy Brian, I couldn’t have dropped my weight from 275 to 250. I initially joined the program on doctors orders, but I feel better and look better. Pretty soon I hope to have the girls look at me again, and with out disgust either. Ha!

    Mixed Conditioning.

Well, my first rugby match of the season has come and gone and while it was unbelievably hot and humid this past Saturday, I was still nowhere near where I need to be conditioning wise to get through a 10 match rugby season. So, I decided to find the suck and live there.

    1 minute rest

    4 minute rest

3 sets of Schwabby Drills (i’ve mentioned these before, but suffice it to say that they aren’t fun.)
3 minute rest between each set

68-71-74. fail on the 1×74. both times I tried it
then decided to do 12 minutes, every minute on the minute
rounds 1-8, 71#. fail forward on rep 5
    rounds 9-11, 72#
    round 12, 75#

then did the bench press 5×5
    last set was 5×5@83#

one round of the mobility with Jefferson curls. did a version of 100m sprints yesterday on a hotel treadmill

  • John Donne – Meditation 17

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were. Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee...
