WHITEBOARD – 29 March 2011
Workload:
5 Rounds for Reps:
- 30s 100lb/2 pood Kettlebell Swing
- 30s Rest
- 30s Push-ups
- 30s Rest
- 30s Box Jump (30/24”)
- 30s Rest
Notes: The workout is 15 Minutes. 30s of work followed by 30s of rest for each station. For the kettlebell swings please perform them to just the chest. Not everyone will be able to do the kettlebell weight as prescribed, but even if you can’t please use a heavier kettlebell then you would normally use.
For the box jumps, make sure you are opening the hip at the top (standing tall) and try to be confident on your landings. Post total reps.
Give a big congrats to Christine Thiel for completing her first Marathon this weekend. She checked off one of her lifetime goals, plus the mere thought of completing this task makes me want to lose my lunch. So, because of that very reason she should be admired… I think.

I second the idea of marathon=losing lunch. Christine, I stand in awe of you and am not worthy of being your part time running partner.
Track workouts start in May!
Wow, Dana! I am humbled to have earned my very own graphic on your Web page (even if it is a vomitting pumpkin). All your encouraging words like, “Your body thinks you’re trying to kill it,” and “I’d want to kill myself if I were you,” really propelled me across that finish line! Seriously, though, everyone actually was very supportive and helpful. What a wonderful community! For the record, I also have to say that was the hardest thing I ever did (worse than having 3 babies).
Congrats! Gives me motivation to keep moving forward on my triathlon goal.
Much deserved congratulations, Christine! Your achievement is really inspiring to me. Fantastic!

Michael (and anyone else interested),
Here is a direct link to a podcast that Tim Ferriss (4 Hour Body author) did. It is probably not that scientific and more conversational as it’s with Chris Hardwick of G4 tv, but I thought it was pretty cool.
